The Bosch 02039 Ignition Condenser (a superseded unit for Bosch part #02021) works in conjunction with the points and installs on the side the distributor. The condenser hooks up to the negative ( - or 1) side of the coil as well as the points (inside the distributor). The Bosch condenser fits 1968 through 1970 Autostick Beetles and Autostick Karmann Ghias as well as 1968 through 1971 Automatic Type 3s.
